An AJU Refereeing and Coaching Seminar was held from the 26th to the 28th of September 2014 in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. The seminar was presented by Mr BoubkeurBenbada AJU Director of Refereeing, and Mr NacerOuarab AJU Director of Education and Coaching.
Referees and coaches from most of regions in South Africa attended the seminar.
The seminar was concluded with the evaluation and upgrading of several African referees to new AJU C,B and A levels. According to organizers Mr Dirk Crafford, Director of Refereeing, Judo South Africa, and Mr Gert Gouws, Director Coaching and Education, Judo South Africa, the seminar was a huge success.
South African referees and coaches benefitted from the seminar and indicated that many more of these type of interventions are needed and would be greatly appreciated.
